Man pulled from Columbia River identified

Deputies have released the name of the man pulled from the Columbia River Saturday.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol deputies responded to the report of a body seen in the Columbia River near 158th and Marine Drive at approximately 7:35 a.m. Saturday.

According to deputies, the man was identified Sunday as Weldu Yemane Misgna, 38, of Portland.

Misgna was the driver involved in the crash on February 18 near 159th and Marine Drive.

According to deputies, Misgna’s car had left the road, went into the water. and was submerged.
