TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

Two men with warrants were arrested after someone spotted a burglary in progress at a neighbor's home, according to police.

Officers responded to the 21300 block of Southwest Makah Court in Tualatin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A witness reported seeing two men walking around a neighbor's house, with one of the men taking a bike from the home.

Officers arrived and immediately contacted one of the suspects, but the other man ran away. Officers caught him a short time later. Investigators said the second suspect was carrying a backpack that contained a garage door opener that was reported stolen in a separate theft from a vehicle in Tualatin on Tuesday morning.

The two suspects were identified as 39-year-old Harold Bratton of Tualatin and 19-year-old Brian Schoenheit of Colton.

Bratton had a warrant for his arrest on a probation violation. He is now facing charges of conspiracy to commit theft and burglary.

Schoenheit also had a warrant for failure to appear in court. He is now being charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree theft, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft.

The suspects were booked into the Washington County Jail.
