PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland International Airport has now added two new spots designed with moms in mind.

Two lactation rooms have been added just past both security checkpoints.

PDX officials said the rooms are designed for moms traveling without their babies to give them a private place to express milk, but the rooms are also open for mothers who are looking for a quiet place to nurse.

One woman told FOX 12 the rooms are something she appreciates.

"I think it's really cool to have a private, comfortable place to go nurse, somewhere when you're out in public."

The lactation rooms include counters, a sink and chair.

The rooms are part of several planned additions called PDX Next to help increase security, convenience, and comfort at the airport.
