VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Two men responsible for robbing a Vancouver woman and attacking her with a hammer in May 2015 were sentenced to prison.

Police said Vincent Burnett and Roy Thompson Jr. broke into Hsu Hsueho's home in Vancouver and tied her up using her own scarves and a suitcase strap. They told her not to move, and at one point, threatened to kill her and then attacked her with a hammer.

Neighbors told FOX 12 Hsueho is a Buddhist Monk.

Both men pleaded guilty to charges of attempted murder, robbery, and assault.

Thompson was just 15-years-old at the time of the assault. He was sentenced as an adult and will spend 16 years in prison.

Burnett was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
