Portland Fire and Rescue Dive Team assists with water rescue on Sauvie Island

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Fire and Rescue’s Dive team are assisting with a water rescue on Sauvie Island Sunday afternoon.

Crews were called on the report that a paddle boarder had gone under the water near Collins Beach.

According to Portland Fire and Rescue, the initial report at 4:21 p.m. was that a female in her 20s was paddle boarding without a life preserver when she went into the water.

According to Portland Fire and Rescue, recovery operations began at 5:50 p.m.
