PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Cannabis business owners got the chance to pitch to investors as part of a two-day event called ArcView Investor Forum.

Among the business owners was NBA All-Star Cliff Robinson whose new nickname has become "Uncle Spliffy".

More than 200 investors gathered at the Waterfront Marriott for the forum hosted by The ArcView Group, an investment firm that has put more than $70 million behind cannabis-related companies.

Robinson pitched his business, Uncle Spliffy Sports Cannabis.

He believes marijuana helped him with pain during his time in the NBA and he wants other athletes and professional sports organizations to consider the benefits.

"Sports cannabis is already a big conversation. It's going to continue to be a big conversation, so just look for it, just look for it, coming soon near you."

The ArcView Investor Forum continues until Tuesday, May 3.
