A new movie filmed here in Oregon is out in theaters this weekend and it tackles a tough topic, violence against women.
"Angela's Sacred Heart" was written and co-directed by G.G.Williams and stars her daughter Ashley.
The film is based on G.G.'s life and how it was turned upside down after an attack.
While getting funding for the film on IndieGoGo, the Williams women opened up about why the movie was so important to them to make.
The film's other co-director, Jerry Bell, Jr., said the film isn't just for women. He believes fathers should show their sons, too.
Viewers can screen the movie for free at the Hollywood theatre. For tickets and more information visit HollywoodTheatre.org.
