DEPOE BAY, OR (KPTV) -

Crews with the US Coast Guard’s Depoe Bay station recovered the body of a woman early Thursday morning, and investigators have confirmed it is that of Katy Roe.

According to reports, the Coast Guard found Roe’s body just outside the jaws of Depoe Bay Harbor.

The Coast Guard contacted the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office around 6:00 a.m., and the Lincoln County Major Crime Team immediately responded and identified Roe.

Investigators said the condition of the body indicates Roe was in the water since the time of her disappearance. They also noted that there were no initial signs of foul play, but that the state medical examiner would conduct and official autopsy.

Roe was last seen around 2:00 a.m. on April 17, and was reported as missing later that morning by her grandmother..

A week later investigators found clothing of Roes near the Depoe Bay shoreline.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office notified Roe’s family early Thursday.
