GRANTS PASS, OR (KPTV) -

A semi-truck carrying hydrochloric acid crashed while trying to avoid a wrong-way driver in Southern Oregon.

Oregon State Police say the semi crashed around 2:45 Sunday morning while heading north on Interstate 5, north of Grants Pass.

The semi was trying to avoid a wrong-way driver when it crashed.

Acid began leaking from the truck, and hazmat crews from Medford were called to help.

I-5 was completely closed for some time after the crash as crews assessed the leak.

All lanes have since reopened.

Anyone with information should contact Oregon State Police.

No word if anyone was hurt in the crash.
