SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

A Domino's Pizza delivery driver became concerned after not hearing from a regular customer for 11 days.

Tracey Hamblen had formed a relationship with the customer who suffered from severe health issues and made regular pizza orders from the restaurant.

After so much time had passed without hearing from him, Hamblen decided to call the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Hamblen may have saved the customer's life.

Deputies responded to the home of 48-year-old Kirk Alexander on the 4100 block of Penticton Circle Northeast in Salem on Sunday and heard a man calling out for help.

The deputies forced their way into the home and found Alexander on the ground and in need of immediate medical attention.

Alexander was taken to the hospital for treatment and was listed in stable condition Monday.

"The (Marion County) Sheriff's Office would like to personally thank Mr. Hamblen for his quick actions and willingness to take time out of his day to care for others," according to a sheriff's office statement.

Hamblen works at the Domino's Pizza location on Silverton Road Northeast in the Salem area.
