WOODBURN, OR (KPTV) -

A Woodburn man has been reunited with his dog and car after they were stolen Monday morning.

Police say 21-year-old Jonathan Gonzalez stole the car early Monday with the dog inside. Even though the two men did not know each other, the dog's owner gave Gonzalez a ride to a 7-Eleven store.

The owner went inside the store but when he came out, the dog and car were gone.

Police tracked down them down a half hour later at the Woodburn Walmart and arrested Gonzalez, who faces charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft I, and giving false information to an officer.

Gonzalez was taken to the Marion County Jail.
