PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Centennial Little League in southeast Portland said they've got a dangerous problem on their hands.

Rob Diesel with the league said over the past year he and his team have found locks broken off from its porta-potties and miscellaneous things inside.

“We found syringes, most recently a full bottles of pills, a bicycle stored in here, people clothes and blankets,” Diesel said.

Diesel believes that transients or homeless people are breaking into the outhouses.

There are several outhouses on a field which is used by children often.

“You want them to have the freedom to be a kid and be able to play and have fun and not worry about their safety at a public field,” said mother Sheri Soria.

Diesel said police have been involved in the past but the patrols are limited since the field is gated at night.

Centennial Little League will hold a meeting on Sunday and plans to discuss the issue.
