A priest in Scappoose pleaded guilty Friday to attempting to lure a teenager into his car in 2014.

Catholic priest Michael Patrick was arrested in March 2014 after he followed a 14-year-old for several blocks in Vancouver, trying to get her into his car.

Court documents said Patrick allegedly urged the girl several times to get in his car as he drove past her.

Patrick is a priest at the St. Wenceslaus Parish in Scappoose, but lives in Vancouver.

The Portland Archdiocese suspended Patrick at the time of his arrest. The Archdiocese was unaware of the investigation until his arrest, according to a spokesman.

Patrick will be sentenced in court later this month.
