SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Several past Oregon Governors are coming together and supporting Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination.

On Wednesday, former Governor Ted Kulongoski and former Governor Barbara Roberts joined Governor Kate Brown in standing by Hillary Clinton as the most qualified candidate.

"I've known Hillary for decades, and I know she's the best candidate to unite us as a nation of diverse people," said Gov. Ted Kulongoski.  "As president, she will be a trusted defender of all that we've gained and a fighter for the change we need.  I urge all Oregonians to vote for Hillary Clinton.  She is the strongest advocate, nationally and internationally for our values."

"No other candidate running for president has expertise in international affairs and diplomacy, which are so critical for our nation's commander in chief. These credentials, in addition to everything else she offers, is why I have every confidence that Hillary Clinton is the best person - and the most qualified person - to lead our country," said Gov. Barbara Roberts.

This support comes before Oregon's May 17 primary.
