CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

Two K-9 deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office will be protecting the public in new armored vests thanks to a donation from nonprofit organization.

K-9 deputies Ringo and Jango received bullet and stab protective vests from Vested Interests in K9s, Inc. based out of Massachusetts.

Both vests are embroidered with statements commemorating K-9 deputies killed in the line of duty.

K-9 Ringo’s vest is embroidered with “In loving memory of K9 Lucky” and K-9 Jango’s vest is embroidered with “In loving memory of K9 Kane.’

CCSO K-9 Lucky was killed while on duty in May 1990 and CCSO K-9 Kane was killed in April 2011.
