SILVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

An Indiana town topped Silverton in an online vote for a $500,000 downtown revitalization prize.

Deluxe Corporation said more than 180,000 votes were cast, but in the end, Wabash, Indiana beat out Silverton, Oregon to win the Small Business Revolution on Main Street contest.

The two finalists were selected from more than 10,000 cities nominated around the country. The winner was announced Thursday.

By winning the popular vote, Wabash will receive a $500,000 revitalization in the form of marketing services, business advice, and other support and improvements.

Robert Herjavec of "Shark Tank" will join Deluxe Corporation in the winning town, and the revitalization will be documented in a web series debuting on SmallBusinessRevolution.org in the fall of 2016.

Deluxe will also work with the Silverton Main Street community to provide marketing support in the future, according to the company.
