WALDPORT, OR (KPTV) -

Lincoln County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a 38-year-old man after he stole a motorcycle in Waldport on May 9.

LCSO said they received a report at 8:30 p.m. from the motorcycle owner saying a friend of his found the motorcycle at the Baymart on NW Bayshore Drive. The suspect involved fled the area northbound on Highway 101 in a red BMW sedan.

Deputies responded to the area and searched for the suspect.

Around 8:55 p.m., Sergeant Adam Shanks found the suspect vehicle with two men inside parked in a private driveway in the 6400 block of Fox Creek Way in Seal Rock.

Both men were arrested.

A witness positively identified one of the men, Josef Todd Keys, 38, from Vancouver, as being in possession of the stolen motorcycle earlier in the day.

Keys was taken to Lincoln County Jail on one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. His bail is set at $100,000.

The motorcycle was returned to the owner.
