PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Two North Portland businesses have been burglarized in the last week.

The first burglary happened Saturday morning at Albina Press Coffee Shop on North Albina.

Police said someone broke the glass on the front door to get inside, but it's unclear what they took.

The second burglary happened on Tuesday morning, where the burglar threw a rock through the glass door of Firelight Yoga Studio on North Killingsworth.

At Firelight Yoga Studio, the burglar caused minor damage to the shelves and computer, and then ripped off the entire cash drawer.

Owners Holly Bussmus and Jessica Bartley have repaired the door and put up a sign saying they don't keep cash in the business after hours, but they worry someone that's so desperate will come back again or target other small businesses.

"Initially, I was relieved, honestly, because as I said I expected it to be a lot worse than it was. But I think you always feel a little bit violated and wondering why someone would do this. And you know, I definitely have a compassion in my heart for people who are in a difficult situation," said Bartley.

Both of the break-ins happened around 3 a.m., but investigators said they don't know if the burglaries are related.

If you know anything about either burglary, please call Portland Police.
