PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police arrested two men suspected to have been involved in a drive-by shooting on Ash Street in southeast Portland Thursday.

Two people were injured Thursday afternoon after they were shot by three suspects inside a dark blue sedan around 12:44 p.m.

Later that evening, Portland police said responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle on northeast 121st and Glisan Avenue in northeast Portland around 10:03 p.m.

The driver and a passenger were inside the car, according to officials.

The passenger, 31-year-old Ronald Rhodes, attempted to flee the scene as officers approached the car. He was captured a short distance away.

The driver, 23-year-old Antwain Patterson, stayed inside the car. Officers said they were able to recover two firearms as well as drugs and drug distribution material from the car.

Patterson was identified as one of the victims shot earlier in the day.

Both suspects will appear in court Friday.
