The Portland Police Bureau's Sex Trafficking Unit arrested 15 men in an undercover sex trafficking sting.

On Thursday, police posted online ads to known sex trafficking websites. Investigators said 15 men responded and contacted undercover officers to arrange payment for sexual acts.

For investigative reasons, the Sex Trafficking Unit is not releasing information about the specific websites or text of the ads.

Police were assisted by a Portland hotel as part of the operation.

The 15 men who responded to the ad and arrived at the hotel were arrested on the misdemeanor charge of patronizing a prostitute.

Due to the number of suspects arrested, they were each given criminal citations to appear in court, but they were not booked into jail.

The suspects were identified Monday by police as Jeffery Delong, 51, of Alaska; Ryan Hill, 23, of Vancouver; Damian Johnson, 47, of Portland; Daniel Alvarez-Rivas, 26, of Portland; Patrick Castelli, 49, of Arizona; Matthew Cooper, 36 of Depoe Bay; Jeff Weiss, 52, of North Carolina; Evan Lallier, 27, of Portland; Matthew Rohrbaugh, 40, of Portland; David Asay, 40, of California; Frank Morales, 40, of Woodburn; Wei Yang Chen, 40, of Portland; William Whiteside II, 37, of Happy Valley; Kenneth Collins, 28, of Troutdale; David Koffel, 42, of Cornelius.

This mission was conducted in conjunction with the traveling photo exhibit, "More than a Survivor, More than a Story," which honors victims of human trafficking. The photo exhibit is being shown in the Portland area through the end of May.
