KEIZER, OR (KPTV) -

Police are asking for the public’s help to catch the people behind a drive by shooting in Keizer over the weekend.

A gunman opened fire very early Sunday morning, shooting at a house on 13th Avenue North while four people were inside.

Luckily no one inside was hurt, even though investigators said bullets went through the front window and into the living room.

The gunman also shot out the front and back windshields of a car parked in the driveway.

Detectives aren’t saying what the motive could be, but neighbors said this kind of violence is a first around here.

“We have a great neighborhood down around the corner and we’re known for the nice neighborhoods over here,” one neighbor named Shari told Fox 12. “But there’s too many rentals coming in.”

The shooter or shooters are still on the loose as of Monday evening, and Keizer police are asking anyone with information to call them at 503-390-3713 ext. 3514.
