WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

An 18-year-old woman was arrested Monday night after deputies received a call of a possible stabbing in Cedar Hills.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to a home on the 13400 block of Southwest Driftwood Place around 7:22 p.m.

Deputies learned that 18-year-old Charreen Stanford had been taken to the hospital by a family member. She later died from her injuries.

The suspect, 18-year-old Tannekqwa Thompson, fled the scene before deputies arrived, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies and a K-9 team locked down the area for over an hour. Deputies said Thompson was found hiding in a nearby yard and arrested around 8:30 p.m.

Deputies said both women were living in the house together.

Thompson was booked in the Washington County Jail on charges of murder.
