PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A 17-year-old was arrested and a second suspect is on the loose after a break-in at a north Portland marijuana dispensary.

Police responded to the Portland Pot Shop on the 4700 block of North Lombard Street at around 12 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers said the suspects used a sledgehammer and a baseball bat to break into the building, but in doing so they triggered the alarm.

Officers quickly arrived and arrested one suspect. The second suspect has not been found.

Store workers said the pair didn't get their hands on any marijuana, instead they just took some paper bags.

"If you were to break in, it calls the cops within 30 seconds, so it's pretty dumb," said budtender Kesia McHenry. "There isn't anything left in the shop after hours, so it's kind of a dumb deal."

The incident is especially frustrating for the shop's owners, as this is the second time someone has tried breaking into the shop since it opened last month.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Portland police.
