A Vancouver man was sentenced to 45 days in jail after chasing two teenagers with a meat cleaver.
The incident happened in June 2015 in the area of 29th and R Street.
Prosecutors said two teenagers were trying to take a short cut near Dwight Moses’ home.
Moses then confronted the teens and told them not to cross through his property. The teens said they tried to walk around the property and walked through an alley way.
That is when the teens said they saw Moses charging at them with a meat cleaver in his hand.
They ran to a neighbor’s yard and asked her to call 911.
Moses pled guilty to assault III. He did get credit for times served, and will spend the rest of his sentence on a work crew.
