WARM SPRINGS, OR (KPTV) -

The FBI and Warm Springs Police Department officers are searching for a man after his wife was found dead in her home.

Warm Springs officers found the body of Candelaria Rhoan, 30, while conducting a welfare check early Thursday morning.

Members of the FBI's Evidence Response Team and agents from the FBI’s Bend office are working with Warm Springs PD on the case.

Investigators said an autopsy was still pending, but that Rhoan appeared to have died violently.

Officers and agents are searching for Mark Kevin Johnson, Jr., 33, who was last seen at a friend’s home on the reservation around 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Rhoan and Johnson are both members of the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation.

Johnson is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall weighing 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators believe he is likely driving a 1998 maroon, 4-door Volkswagen Passat with an Oregon license plate of 223DXW.

Investigators warned that Johnson should be considered armed and dangerous, adding that he may also be suicidal. Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 911.

Officers are asking that anyone with information on Rhoan’s death to please call Warms Springs police at 541-553-1171 or the FBI at 541-389-1202.
