Oregon State Police arrested a FedEx driver after they found drugs and alcohol on him during a traffic stop near Wilsonville, according to investigators.
OSP said they were notified about a driving complaint of a FedEx commercial truck pulling a set of doubles, traveling southbound on Interstate 205 near Milepost 7, failing to drive within a single lane and varying its speed.
OSP located the truck and stopped the vehicle on I-5 near Milepost 285 southbound.
The driver, Stephen Augustus Rohan, 35, from Salem, was arrested and cited for DUII-controlled substances, reckless driving, reckless endangering, commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver in possession of a controlled substance, and CMV driver in possession of alcohol.
Rohan was booked into the Clackamas County Jail.
FOX 12 reached out to FedEx for a statement. They replied stating:
"FedEx Ground is committed to safety as our top priority and we hold anyone providing service on our behalf contractually responsible for operating safely and complying with the law. We are fully cooperating with investigating authorities and can confirm that this individual is not currently providing service on our behalf."
In June, a no complaint order was issued in the case, dropping the criminal charges with the possibility they could be re-filed at a later date.
