HAPPY VALLEY, OR (KPTV) -

A local animal shelter is hoping you can help them find their missing trailer after Fox 12's Most Wanted stole it from a Happy Valley parking lot.

The PAWS Animal Shelter in West Linn uses the trailer to bring animals to school demonstrations and construction projects.

The shelter's executive director says they were headed to Home Depot on Tuesday night but went to get something to eat first. That’s when she says it was taken from a parking lot, located by Dick's Sporting Goods and Best Buy off Johnson Creek Boulevard.

"We worked an awful long time to have that trailer and to have it stolen like that, to have it stolen period, it's really hard to put into words but it makes me teary," said Sharon Murphy, executive director for PAWS Animal Shelter.

She added that the rear brake light on the passenger side is broken.

If you see the trailer, please call the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
