PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Both the Sellwood Bridge and the Hawthorne Bridge are scheduled to close at different times Friday through Sunday.

Multnomah County officials said the bridges will be closing for repairs and construction.

The Sellwood Bridge closed around 6 a.m. Friday and will reopen around 6 a.m. Saturday.

Crews said they will be installing concrete girders for 4 spans of the east approach during the closure.

Officials advise drivers to use the Ross Island Bridge as a detour.

The Hawthorne Bridge will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday while crews replace a power cable.

The south sidewalk will be open to cyclists and pedestrians, but the north sidewalk will remain closed.

Traffic officials advise drivers to use alternate routes on the Burnside, Morrison, and Ross Island bridges.
