CANNON BEACH, OR (KPTV) -

A seagull is expected to make a full recovery after it was rescued by crews from Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue.

On May 16, a person walking up from the beach noticed a seagull hanging from a kite.

Cannon beach Fire and Rescue crews were able to rescue the bird, and officers from the Cannon Beach Police Department took it to a vet.

According to officials from the Wildlife Center of the North Coast, the bird is expected to make a full recovery.

Officials said the bird was a bit thin, so they are trying to put some weight on him.

The seagull is expected to be released in the next week or two, according to the Wildlife Center of the North Coast.
