PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Some diners got the royal treatment at a northeast Portland restaurant Wednesday.

The Rose Festival Clown Prince and the Rose Princesses visited the Elmer's in Parkrose, along the Rose Festival President and other employees.

The princesses helped seat people at their tables and served them food and drinks. They also spent time talking with diners.

Elmer’s is offering their seventh annual Rose Meal at participating restaurants. For every Rose Meal sold, the company will donated a dollar to the Portland Rose Festival Foundation.

Katie Johnston, the Rose princess representing Roosevelt High School, said going to events like the one at Elmer’s is one of the fun ways that they are able to get out in the community.

“It’s honestly such an experience,” she said. “We’re so happy to be here, and get out into the community and do all these things that most of us have never gotten to do before, so we’re just happy to be here and get out and give back.”

Elmer’s rose meals are available at participating restaurants until June 9. Diners can choose from a fresh fruit waffle, fresh strawberry blintzes and a strawberry-apple poppy seed salad.
