PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A registered sex offender has pleaded guilty to charges of first-degree online sexual corruption of a child and attempted use of a child in a sexual display.

Christopher Michael Scott, 22, was arrested at his home on the 3200 block of Southeast 92nd Avenue in Portland in November 2015. He pleaded guilty in court Thursday.

Investigators said he claimed to be a 16-year-old boy named Jake Wolf and sent sexually explicit photos of himself to a 13-year-old girl he contacted through a social networking and dating website.

Police said he asked the girl to send him sexually explicit photos and tried to meet her in person.

Detectives said the girl's mother saw the messages and immediately talked to her daughter and contacted police.

As part of a plea deal, additional charges of luring a minor, identity theft and second-degree online corruption were dismissed.

Scott is scheduled to be sentenced June 3.
