ARLINGTON, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon State Police are investigating a crash near Arlington where a man from Alberta, Canada was killed.

OSP said around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Darcy Dutertre, 49, from Edmonton, Alberta, was driving a 2010 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on Highway 19 about 17 miles south of Arlington.

According to OSP, Dutertre was driving around a sharp right hand curve when he drove into the oncoming lane and laid his bike over.

Dutertre was hit by a 2008 Dodge service truck heading southbound on Hwy 19.

OSP said Dutertre was killed in the crash.

The service truck driver, Eduardo Zuniga-Gonzalez, 23, from Condon, was not injured.

OSP said the crash is under investigation but alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
