PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The latest air quality tests in southeast Portland show lead levels have decreased but chromium levels are higher than the Department of Environmental Quality desires.

Health officials said samples near Bullseye Glass Co. from two weeks ago showed there was a spike in lead levels by the company but has since decrease.

Recent testing at a daycare near Bullseye Glass positive for high levels of lead. That finding led Governor Kate Brown to issue a cease and desist order to Bullseye Glass last week, shutting down 80 percent of its operations.

Officials also said the chromium and cadmium average levels in SE Portland have risen but are still well below levels that would cause any short term health effects.
