A local high school Senior's car was set on fire and he says bullies at his school are to blame.

Freddie Potwin's 2003 Honda Civic is completely destroyed after it was set on fire early Saturday morning at his parents house.

"I believe that the fire was started in the back," said Potwin.

The Hockinson High School Senior said he just bought the car a few weeks ago and had put a lot of work into it.

While the Clark County Fire Marshal is investigating the fire, Freddie said he has been bullied and harassed at school and thinks those people are to blame.

"They don't like me, obviously."

Hockinson High School officials are looking into the bullying allegations.

On Friday morning, Freddie and his parents had a meeting at the high school with officials and Freddie said they developed a safety plan for the rest of the year so he feels protected at school.

Meanwhile, Freddie wonders how someone could do something like this.

"They need help, obviously, if they can have this much hate in their heart."

Freddie hopes his story might bring change for other students who feel bullied.

"I just want people to be comfortable in telling when people are bullied, and bullying has been going on for quite a long time at our school and they just haven't done too much about it, and I just want them to do more about it."

Freddie told FOX 12 he plans on going to college after graduation and hopes to later become a police officer. He said having this happen to him, has inspired him to become an officer even more.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Freddie get a new car.
