CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

A third arson this week is being investigated by the Clark County Fire Marshal's Office, the Clark County Sheriff's Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms, and Explosives Sunday, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The most recent fire happened in a building owned by Daybreak Youth Services, located at 1190 Northeast 154th Street in Brush Prairie.

Deputies said the fire was reported just after 2 a.m., but crews were called back because the building owners believed it was a false alarm.

Several minutes later, fire crews were dispatched again and found a fire in one of the rooms of the building.

The building was originally occupied by the Bethesda Slavic Church, but it has been vacant for some time.

Deputies said the three recent fires are being investigated as if they are connected.

Clark County Fire Marshal Jon Dunaway urges continued vigilance for all businesses, but especially for places of worship.

"Be alert and report anything suspicious or unusual. It may be a small detail that makes the difference in solving these cases,” Dunaway said. “Also, make sure access points are secured, exterior areas are illuminated, and fire systems are in working order."

Damage from Sunday morning's fire is estimated at $25,000, according to deputies.
