JACKSON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

One man was killed and another man was injured along Interstate 5 Sunday after two motorcycles crashed into each other Sunday.

Oregon State Police said the riders of a 2008 Harley Davidson and a 2012 Harley Davidson were traveling south along I-5 around 11 p.m. when they collided with one another while entering a right-hand curve.

John Soule III, 39, of Gold Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene. Joshua MacDonald Pose, 29, of Medford, was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

OSP believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.

Police said another driver who had been following the motorcycles stopped at the scene, but Mitchel Hensley, 33, of Gold Hill, was subsequently arrested for DUII-alcohol.
