BATTLE GROUND, WA (KPTV) -

An attic fire damaged a home and two vintage cars in Battle Ground Monday afternoon.

Clark County Fire District 3 responded to the fire located in the 2600 block of NW 6th Street around 12:50 p.m.

When crews arrived they found dark smoke and flames coming from the vents in the roof. Firefighters entered the home and found the fire located in the attic.

Crews had the fire under control in 25 minutes.

Fire District 3 said there was a partial roof collapse but no firefighters were injured.

No one was inside the home at the time of the fire and the family dog was let out and found later by neighbors in the community.

Fire District 3 said there were three vintage cars in the garage that sustained minor damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
