Washington County deputy's patrol car hit responding to crash scene

ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

A Washington County Sheriff's Office patrol car was hit by a minivan as the deputy was responding to a crash scene.

The crash happened near the intersection of Southwest 209th Avenue and Tualatin Valley Highway at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a sheriff's office spokesman.

The deputy and the driver of the minivan were taken to the hospital by ambulance, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

There was no word on possible citations in connection with the crash.
