BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Students at the Touchstone Preschool in Beaverton went on a treasure hunt using interactive GPS mapping.

Over the past several weeks, students there created the interactive map, which includes locations of classrooms and other key areas around the school.

They were led by teachers through the campus to find treasure at the very end, which turned out to be a compass.

Fox 12 asked a few of the students how they plan to use their new treasure.

"When we travel with our parents and our friends to see if we think that these really work and to do things with them, to see where we go with them," a student said.

The interactive map even included sounds that the students recorded that corresponded with different locations.
