NORTH PLAINS, OR (KPTV) -

State troopers are keeping the roads safe for all travelers, including ducklings.

An Oregon State Police trooper rescued a couple of ducklings from Highway 26 near North Plains Wednesday morning.

Oregon State Police tweeted around 8 a.m. a picture of Trooper Carlson holding two ducklings inside his hat.

The baby ducks were taken off the busy road and were reunited with their anxiously awaiting mother, according to OSP.

Nice job, Trooper Carlson!
