Police: Burglar caught with box of chocolates outside Portland chocolate shop

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A burglar was caught with a box of chocolates after walking out of Moonstruck Chocolates in north Portland, according to police.

Police responded to the business on the 6600 block of North Baltimore Avenue at 3:47 a.m. Monday.

Officers surrounded the building and could see a man walking around on the second floor.

Police said 41-year-old Matthew Brush walked out of the building and was taken into custody without incident.

Police said they found a box of chocolates during a search of Brush's belongings.

Brush has been released from jail and is facing the charge of second-degree burglary. He has a court hearing scheduled for June 15.
