Man arrested for theft, fraud thanks to PPB's CanYouIDMe page

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man was arrested for theft and fraud after he was recognized from the Portland Police Bureau's CanYouIDMe page.

Police received a report of a stolen wallet from a victim at a Northeast Airport Way hotel on April 25. The victim told police the suspect used the victim's credit cards at McDonald's, Walmart and an Arco gas station.

Police posted a surveillance image of the suspect to their CanYouIDMe page.

On May 15, a Loss Prevention Officer from the Foster Fred Meyer store recognized a man in the store from the Bureau's CanYouIDMe page.

Police arrived to the stored and arrested Raymond Webb, 65.

Webb was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on theft in the second degree and fraudulent use of a credit card.
