ST. HELENS, OR (KPTV) -

A man was assaulted by a burglar in his home and police are asking for the public's help tracking down the suspect.

Investigators said a man arrived at his house on the 100 block of South 16th Street the afternoon of May 26 to find a burglar inside. A struggle ensued and the suspect ran away.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office offered the services of a composite sketch artist, who met with the victim to create a sketch of the suspect that was released Thursday.

The suspect is described as a white man, around 30 years old. He was wearing a gray cap, gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, black gloves and carrying a black backpack or bag.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Sgt. Anthony Miltich at 503-397-1521 or anthonym@ci.st-helens.or.us.
