Police say they have a man in jail accused of burglary and assault in St. Helens.

Ross Michael Clark, 20, was arrested on June 1 and charged in an unrelated burglary.

On Friday police say Clark confessed to a burglary on North 16th Street in late May.

According to St. Helens police, a man came home to find the suspect in the house on May 26.

The homeowner confronted the suspect, the two struggled and the suspect then fled.

Police said the homeowner chased the suspect until losing sight of him behind nearby businesses.
