Timbers and fans spend the day at Zenger Farm for Stand Together Week

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

All week members of the Portland Timbers and their fans are volunteering at nonprofits across the area as part of Stand Together Week

The week-long effort allows the members of the Timber’s army to take their passion and put it towards a good cause.

Tuesday volunteers were joined by members of the Timbers, the Portland Thorns and players from T2 as they spent the day on Zenger Farm cleaning classrooms and kitchens as well as preparing fields and materials.

People participating in Stand Together Week have donated over 10,000  hours of service to nonprofits in the area since 2012.

Stand Together Week runs through Sunday, June 12. To find out where you can participate, go to HandsOnPortland.org.
