TILLAMOOK, OR (KPTV) -

A motorhome slammed into a house off Highway 101 in Tillamook and the driver was critically injured.

Emergency crews responded to McCormick Loop at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators said a 1956 motorhome was heading south on the highway when it drifted off the road for unknown reasons.

The 30-foot motorhome traveled through a yard and into the side of a house.

Five people were upstairs in the home watching a movie when the crash occurred. They reported that it felt like an earthquake.

Police said an elderly woman in the home was pinned under debris. She was treated for minor injuries. Nobody else in the home was injured.

The driver, identified as Jerry Bahles, 41, of Welches, was flown to a Portland hospital with injuries described as life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation by Oregon State Police.
