OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -

Firefighters rescued a man stuck 20 feet down a cliff in the Oregon City area.

Emergency crews responded to the 300 block of South McLoughlin Boulevard at around 11:15 a.m.

Firefighters said a rope rescue team was called out to rappel down the cliff to reach the man, who was about 50 feet above the river.

Firefighters said the man was climbing up from the railroad tracks when he lost his footing. He was stuck for several hours before a boater heard him yelling for help and called 911.

The man was not seriously injured.

McLoughlin Boulevard was blocked in the Canemah area for the rescue operation.
