VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

There is a large hole in the side of a building in Vancouver after a car crashed into it on Wednesday.

The crash happened on East Fourth Plain and Broadway Street at the Vancouver Education Association building.

Three people were inside a car when the driver lost control, crashed into another car and pushed it into the side wall.

The car pushed debris into the building's kitchen, causing some damage inside. Thankfully, no one was in the room at the time.

Dr. Rick Wilson was just pulling into work when the crash happened and he spoke to the man behind the wheel of the car.

"He said, 'I was going over to Walgreens', which is across from our building, 'to get a new phone battery and I tried to put my foot on the brake and it just didn't stop', and he hit the van, which then hit the building," said Wilson. "You know, there's no good time to have someone drive a van through your building."

Wilson told FOX 12 that at least one person in the car was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
