BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Testing results revealed Thursday that no radon levels above action level have been found in any Beaverton schools.

The Beaverton School District said no buildings showed results higher than a 4.0 pCi/L, the Environmental Protection Agency’s required action level for radon results.

The district conducted targeted radon sample testing in all schools over the winter and spring.

Officials said Ridgewood Elementary School had some initial short-term test results above the EPA Action Level. However, further retesting revealed results below the action level.

The district said it will be adjusting ventilation and pressurization systems at Ridgewood this summer, and will conduct more long-term testing in the fall and winter months.

The testing results come amid the recent discovery of high radon levels in several Portland public schools.
