PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A local group said they are sending a serious message about homelessness in Portland.

Ahead of Saturday's Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade, organizers with Right 2 Dream Too told FOX 12 about 75 people, many of them homeless, will be sleeping on the streets of downtown.

The local non-profit is lending the tents to people to raise awareness about the homeless crisis in the Rose City.

FOX 12 spoke with one homeless man who will be sleeping in one of those tents.

"I'm newly homeless as of less than a year, and it's not fun at all. It needs to be addressed. I would love to have a job. I wouldn't wish this on my enemy."

Organizers said they will take the tents down before the Grand Floral Parade starts, so they won't block the view for parade goers.
